School Mission Statement

At Abbey Meads Community Primary School we are interested in developing our citizens of the future, who are caring, resilient to change, and skilled both academically and socially. In its simplest terms; we aim to develop conscientious, free thinking children with a love of learning.

General Principles:

We provide a learning culture that embraces change and a desire for continual improvement, producing well rounded individuals with the skills and knowledge for success.

We develop an enquiring mind and nurture a love of learning.

We develop perseverance and determination to complete challenging tasks.

We encourage children to learn from their mistakes, and think about the consequences of their actions with regard to their work and their behaviour.

We help children to be able to work in a variety of situations, developing cooperation, empathy and team spirit.

We deliver a curriculum full of wonder, excitement, fun and enjoyment.

We provide a stimulating, well-ordered environment, which is designed to meet the differing needs of the individual and where every child feels happy and secure.

We deliver a curriculum where children are encouraged to become literate, numerate and articulate.
